Julia Lake M.S., CCC-SLP is the founder and treating clinician at Greenpoint Speech. Julia is a New York State licensed bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist and certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She completed her Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Columbia University. She holds her bilingual extension certification (BEA) in both Polish and Spanish.
Julia has served the pediatric population in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, and in-home placements. Julia specializes in bilingual early intervention (ages 0-3) as well as preschool and school age children. During her work at NYU Langone, she has evaluated and treated individuals with varying degrees of expressive and receptive language delays, articulation delays, phonological delays, and has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Julia individualizes therapy sessions to fit the specific needs and interests of every child. She targets speech and language goals through a play based approach and always provides parents/caregivers with home exercises to help support overall speech goals.
As a mother of two, Julia loves spending her free time playing with her energetic toddler and loving baby boy.
